As part of the Being Human festival, the UK’s first national festival of the humanities, led by the School of Advanced Study, University of London in partnership with the Arts & Humanities Research Council and the British Academy, we would like to invite you to a guided tour of heritage sites in North Wales. Each site will be introduced in a short talk given by an archaeologist and a detailed instruction regarding the taking of photographs for 3D photogrammetry purposes will be given. In the end you will have a nice set of pictures which you can upload to the project’s website to create a 3D model of the sites you have visited.
Of course, this outdoor activity is subject to the weather conditions. Please wear warm and water proof clothing! However, in case of bad weather the field trips will go to indoor locations, e.g. museums, where pictures of finds and displays can be taken and later uploaded to the website.
When: Tuesday, 18 November, 09:00 to 16:00
Where: Bangor University Main Arts Car Park, College Road, Bangor, Gwynedd, LL57 2DG
